Overview

The Asian Cuisine Deli Cook prepares fresh, made-to-order Asian dishes for lunch and dinner service in a fast-paced casual dining environment at Emerald Queen Casino. Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, this role focuses on cooking and prep work across sauté, broiler, fry, grill, and pantry stations while maintaining speed, accuracy, and quality, including the ability to handle up to 30 orders  cook is responsible for daily cleaning, organizing walk-ins and storage areas, and keeping the work station clean, organized, and fully functional at all times.

Candidates should have experience preparing Asian cuisine and proficiency in grilling, broiling, and sautéing and demonstrate efficient and organized work habits, maintain a healthy and professional approach to daily responsibilities, and handle money accurately while interacting attentively and politely with the public.

Starting wage is $19.10/hr increasing to $20.29/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

• Prepare and cook Asian dishes across sauté, broiler, fry, grill, and pantry stations in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality, including handling up to 30 orders at once.
• Assist with daily cleaning, organization of walk-ins and storage areas, and maintaining a clean, organized, and fully functional workstation.
• Uphold high standards for guest service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Coordinate cooking times with coworkers to ensure proper flow of orders.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Culinary training is preferred

Experience & Requirements:

• At least two years’ experience cooking Asian dishes, prep cooking, and pantry cooking
• Experience grilling, broiling, and sautéing
• Ability to work on up to 30 orders at one time
• Ability to coordinate cooking times effectively with coworkers
• Knowledge of food decoration and food temperatures

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Maintain good personal health standards
• Must be able to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
