Job Description
The Comfort Advisor is responsible for helping homeowners find the best heating, cooling, and indoor air quality solutions for their needs. This role involves conducting in-home consultations, evaluating customer comfort concerns, designing system replacement options, presenting solutions, and closing sales while providing an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, relationship builder, and problem solver who is motivated to help customers improve their comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality.
Key Responsibilities Customer Consultations- Meet with homeowners for scheduled appointments.
- Conduct detailed home comfort evaluations.
- Assess existing HVAC equipment and system performance.
- Identify comfort issues, energy efficiency concerns, and indoor air quality opportunities.
- Build trust and educate customers on available solutions.
- Design HVAC replacement and upgrade solutions.
- Recommend equipment based on customer needs, budget, and home requirements.
- Present multiple options and explain features, benefits, warranties, and financing.
- Ensure all proposed solutions meet company quality standards.
- Present proposals professionally and confidently.
- Answer customer questions and overcome objections.
- Assist customers in selecting the best solution.
- Secure signed agreements and deposits.
- Maintain target closing ratios and sales goals.
- Deliver a five-star experience from consultation through installation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Follow up with customers as needed.
- Coordinate with operations and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Update CRM with appointment notes, proposals, and sales outcomes.
- Submit completed paperwork promptly.
- Ensure financing applications and required documentation are completed correctly.
- Participate in ongoing sales and product training.
- Stay current on HVAC equipment, rebates, tax credits, and financing programs.
- Learn company processes and sales systems.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and closing abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Basic computer and CRM proficiency.
- Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends.
- HVAC sales experience.
- In-home sales experience.
- Knowledge of residential HVAC systems.
- Experience with financing programs.
- Experience using Service Titan or similar CRM platforms.
