Journeyman Diesel Mechanic Position:
Journeyman Diesel Mechanic
Location:
Fife, WA Pay: $35–$45/hr+ DOE
Schedule:
6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
Who We Are:
We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join a team responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safety, and is committed to keeping equipment reliable and road-ready.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
- Service and repair trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, exhaust, and electrical systems
- Use diagnostic software, hand tools, power equipment, and other shop equipment
- Perform routine services such as oil changes and brake repairs
- Complete complex repairs, including engine and major component repairs or rebuilds
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and costly repairs
- Follow established maintenance schedules
- Complete safety inspections and DOT checks
- Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and maintenance

- 5+ years of mechanic experience
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Experience working with shop equipment
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
- Personal tools
- Clean driving record
- Journeyman-level diesel mechanic experience
- 5+ years of mechanical experience
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems
- Own personal mechanic tools
- Clean driving record
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs safely and efficiently
- Experience working on commercial trucks and trailers
- Experience with heavy machinery
- Experience performing DOT inspections
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and suspension systems
