Rotorcraft Support, Inc. (RSI) is a helicopter Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization with 40 years of experience in the rotorcraft industry. Based at our private heliport in Fillmore, California, RSI is a Factory Authorized Service Center for leading helicopter OEMs and an FAA Part 145 Repair Station with FAA/EASA approvals. RSI provides helicopter maintenance, repair, overhaul, and technical support services to operators and customers throughout the rotorcraft industry.
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Quality Manager for the Repair Station will provide expertise in the areas of Quality Assurance for requirements from FAA Part 145 and EASA. The Quality Manager will ensure effective processes are established to comply with the various requirements applicable to the repair station. The Quality Manager will ensure organizational preparedness for regulatory and customer audits.
JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervises the QA area, ensuring that business quality objectives are being met.
- Ensures compliance with FAA Part 145, EASA-145 requirements, and the Quality Management System.
- Has primary administrative responsibility for the Repair Station’s Safety Management System policies and training compliance.
- Ensures that all inspectors follow the requirements specified by FAA regulations, SOPs, and the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual.
- Ensures that all employees performing safety-sensitive work are included in the DOT Anti-Drug and Alcohol Program.
- Maintains the repair station roster and work histories as required by FAA regulations.
- Determines that requested maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations can be accomplished within the applicable data despite any other damage or discrepancies noted.
- Ensures all incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process, and final inspections are performed in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual.
- Maintains calibration records and ensures checks are kept current and calibrations are performed in accordance with the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual.
- Submits failures, malfunctions, or defects in accordance with the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Acts as the primary contact for issues that may arise related to technical data, shelf life, calibrated tooling, and scrap parts.
- Maintains the repair station’s training program to ensure all training needs are met.
- Performs the repair station’s "self-evaluation" to determine if an article can be added to the Capability List, along with the repair station "Self-Audit" required per the Repair Station/Quality Assurance Manual.
- Ensures the availability and currency of technical information required to perform work whenever a new article is introduced for maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration.
- Performs other duties and maintains other responsibilities as directed or required.
- Maintains Repair Station Quality Manuals and Training Program.
- Oversees the Repair Station Anti-Drug and Alcohol Program.
- Maintains access to customer technical document portals.
- Serves as the primary liaison between the repair station and the FAA.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
Relevant quality experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Experience:
10+ years of experience preferred in a helicopter FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
- Must have working knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, 121, 135, and 145.
- Must have the ability to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have good time management skills.
- Must pass an FAA drug and alcohol pre-employment test.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent residency is required.
