Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Cal Portland seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair loaders, haul trucks, dozers, and other mobile equipment supporting our cement, concrete, and asphalt operations. In this on-site role, you will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete safety inspections to keep production running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, dozers, and excavators.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Document work performed, parts used, and maintenance records accurately.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize production interruptions.
• Operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting devices safely and effectively.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
