The Associated Charities of Findlay, Ohio is a private foundation organized in 1914 with the mission to provide financial assistance to cover basic, emergency needs for individuals and families in our community. The Associated Charities is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.

Our office is located in the Family Center (1800 N. Blanchard Street in Findlay).

We are looking for a Client Relations Intern who will help to

• Greet clients and assist them with completing required paperwork.
• Answer the phone and explain the grant process to potential clients;
  Take messages as needed.
• Schedule appointments for clients with the Executive Secretary.
• Review and update client database;
  Reference other local agencies that could also offer assistance.
• Work closely with the Executive Secretary with general office duties as needed.

• The internship is available for fall 2026.
• Ideally, the intern will work between 10-14 hours per week. The specific work hours for this internship are somewhat flexible within Associated Charities' office hours. (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). For consistency purposes, the intern's schedule will be the same each week.
• The intern will be paid $11.00/hour. Pay periods are bi-weekly.
• The intern will be employed for one college semester. Interns can be considered for additional semesters.

• College student who is pursuing a degree in social services or in a client-focused field of study
• Pleasant, welcoming and professional attitude toward our clients (in person or on the phone)
• Ability to help our clients follow simple registration procedures
• Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of our clients
• 18 years of age or older

This Client Relations Internship offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in social services. Associated Charities helps those in our community who are facing emergency situations such as rental housing evictions, housing utility disconnections, food scarcity, vehicle repairs and much more. In 2025, Associated Charities assisted over 700 households and granted nearly $200,000 in aid.
