Position SummaryThe Contracts Analyst position is an individual contributor role that will support Crude trading. This position will require close collaboration with individual Traders to support their respective lines of business. This position requires a team player with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter mentality. This individual will continually advance in their ability to evaluate contractual content of proposals, evaluate the need for additional legal review, and ensure all contracts are approved and documented appropriately.
Key Responsibilities- Reviews and analyzes contractual agreements to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards; evaluates for additional legal review and engages relevant stakeholders as needed
- Identifies and mitigates potential risks associated with contract terms and conditions
- Provides recommendations for contract modifications based on legal and business considerations
- Manages the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and drafting to execution and renewal
- Maintains a centralized repository of contracts and ensures accurate and timely documentation
- Monitors contractual obligations and deadline
- Develops strategies to minimize contractual risks and maximize opportunities
- Communicates contract-related information to internal and external stakeholders; collaborates cross functionally to ensure alignment on contractual matters
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements in contract management and contributes to the development of best practices
- Supports activities related to contract audits
- Develops strong relationships with key business partners
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2 years of related experience required
