We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to lead and oversee mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring all projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial HVAC projects from kickoff to completion, including planning, scheduling, and execution
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
- Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractor services
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule or budget
- Conduct job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to plans
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and company standards
- 3–7+ years of commercial HVAC project management experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRF/VRV systems, ductwork, controls, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working with general contractors on large-scale commercial builds
- Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes
- OSHA certification
