Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Criminal Justice (Findlay)

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in student learning assessment.
  • Instruct courses in the Criminal Justice curriculum (face‑to‑face or web).
  • Prepare course syllabus and lesson plans in accordance with board policy.
  • Maintain accurate records and report information as required.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Blackboard, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and careers in criminal justice.
  • Good oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach online and in the classroom to students with differing learning styles.
  • Ability to motivate students in online and classroom learning environments.
  • Ability to adopt and incorporate new and innovative teaching elements and technologies into courses.
  • Ability to manage online and face‑to‑face classroom environments.
  • Ability to advise students on course selection.
  • Ability to build and strengthen community relationships in the criminal justice field.
  • Masters degree in Criminal Justice or related field (or Masters degree plus 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice related topics). Preferred candidates have extensive field experience.
