Responsibilities
  • Boundary Resolution: Assist Professional Surveyors by performing deed research and plotting legal descriptions to identify property lines and easements.
  • Drafting & Mapping
    :
    Prepare final Plats of Survey, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and legal descriptions for municipal and private clients.
  • Data Processing: Import and process raw field data to create highly accurate base maps.
  • Topographic Modeling: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to generate surfaces, contours, and break lines for site design and drainage analysis.
  • Project Support: Manage digital files, calculate points for construction staking, and coordinate with field crews to ensure data completeness.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 2–5 years of experience in land surveying or civil drafting preferred.
  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of survey terminology, coordinate systems, and mathematical principles (trigonometry and geometry).
  • Research

    Skills:

    Ability to navigate county auditor sites, recorders' offices, and historical archives for property records.
  • Certification: CST (Certified Survey Technician) or an Associate’s degree in Surveying/Mapping is desirable but not required.
  • Detail-Oriented: A high level of precision is required to ensure the accuracy of legal boundaries and topographic elevations.

Schedule
  • Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
  • Typical hours:
    Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Primarily office-based with occasional field visits to assist in site reconnaissance or data verification.
