• Become familiar with industry codes and best practices and build critical thinking skills.
• Learn how all engineering disciplines work together as a cohesive team while working with professionals who run specific portions of the refining process.
• Gain broad understanding of plant operations by working on more than one refinery area.
• Expand written and verbal presentation skills in a professional work environment.
• As an Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineer – develop project scopes, estimates, and schedules; oversee design and construction efforts; and receive training to become a professional project manager.
• As a Reliability Engineer – support the Maintenance Department through design and development of equipment‑related improvements; perform root‑cause failure analysis; optimize maintenance programs for rotating equipment; troubleshoot fixed equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems; and seek new technology in design, materials, and repair methods.

• Major in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without sponsorship.
• Available for spring, summer, and fall semesters; availability for multiple work terms preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree‑seeking program.
• Military experience a plus.
• Hourly pay: $32.92 – $41.67.
