Intern​/Co-op - Midstream Logistics and Storage Mechanical​/Civil​/Electrical Engineering

Overview

Marathon Petroleum Corp. (MPC) offers internship and co‑op opportunities to high‑performing college students who seek meaningful hands‑on experiences in their fields of study. Interns/co‑ops work side‑by‑side with experienced professionals, contributing to diverse work teams that create value for the company’s shareholders. The purpose of the Logistics and Storage intern/co‑op program is to identify and develop future technical and leadership talent for the benefit of MPC, the engineering intern/co‑op, and the engineering profession. Interns/co‑ops will gain experience in the five phases of the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP) – Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, and Startup/Close‑out. Other responsibilities include:

• Development of project scope
• Engineering oversight
• Technical design
• Cost estimating
• Schedule development
• Evaluating and summarizing bid sets
• Construction supervision
• Safety leadership
• Coordination with operations groups
• Project documentation
• Travel ranging from 15% to 45%

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong academic performance
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Availability to work 40 hours per week. Positions are available for Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters, with preference for multiple work terms
• Valid driver’s license required for travel to construction sites
• Military experience is a plus
• Compensation ranges from $32.92 to $41.67 per hour

Findlay, Ohio (additional locations may be available). Pay: $32.92 – $41.67 per hour.
