Sr. Tooling Design Engineer

Reputable manufacturer is seeking a Sr. Tooling Design Engineer to lead their engineering team. Daily responsibilities will include:

• Lead the design of multiple complex tooling projects
• Design new tools based on customer specifications
• Determine components, establish bill of materials and determine manufacturability of tooling
• Troubleshoot molds once they are in production
• Work with subcontractors to complete tooling projects, including the approval of designs and management of timelines
• Ensure on-time delivery of projects
• Manage multiple tooling projects at a time
• Lead, coach and train other engineers
• Responsible for cost accountability
• Other duties established by management

Requirements for the Sr. Tooling Design Engineer:

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a Bachelor degree is preferred
• At least 7-10 years of progressive injection molding tooling design experience
• Experience working with 3D modeling software
• Microsoft Office, primarily Excel

Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:

• CAD/CAM programming experience
• Robotics and/or automation experience
• Customer communication
