Position Overview
Logistics & Storage Engineering (L&SE) provides engineering and project management services for pipelines, terminals, and marine assets. This role supports the Terminals and Marine organizations in the Findlay, OH office. It requires 15‑20% travel, occasional overnight stays, and a blend of design/PLC programming and project‑management duties.
Design / PLC Support Responsibilities- Support all control scope items for Terminals and Marine projects.
- Evaluate and modify new and existing systems.
- Improve and implement control system designs, PLC programming, interfacing, and graphical user interface screens.
- Review emerging control technologies and integration with automation, PLCs, and other systems.
- Assist with specification and integration of control devices such as PLCs, sensors, transmitters, transducers, relays, VFDs, and operator interface devices.
- Review and update electrical/control drawings.
- Develop, review designs, and ensure construction activities meet NEC, IEEE, NFPA
70E, OSHA, and safety standards. - Provide field start‑up support for GE & AB PLCs, VFDs, Red Lions, and other configurable instrumentation or power devices.
- Offer onsite field leadership for larger/critical projects during construction and start‑up.
- Provide 24‑7 on‑call PLC support via a rotational schedule.
- Apply project‑management skills across technical, resource, financial, scheduling, and contractor coordination to deliver cost‑effective, safe, and value‑added engineering services.
- Maintain communication with business partners for timely project development, cost/status updates, and completion.
- Identify, document, and communicate required resources to supervisors to ensure timely, cost‑effective completion.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution or registered professional engineer OR high‑school diploma/GED with five years of related experience. - Minimum three years of experience in electrical/controls engineering.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred:
Computer proficiencies – Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. - Experience with GE/AB PLC programming, terminal control/measurement equipment, and leading start‑up/check‑out of control systems.
- Familiarity with communication systems and cabling methods (Ethernet, fiber, serial interface, wireless).
- Preferred:
Five or more years of relevant industry experience.
Office:
Findlay, OH (539SMainSt). Requires 15%–20% travel, including occasional overnight trips.
