The Challenge (Job Summary)As a medical assistant, you will embrace our core values daily by providing high‑quality care to patients, supporting providers, managing patient flow, and performing clinic clerical duties when needed. You will communicate professionalism and compassion, playing a key role in enhancing the patient experience.
Your Day to Day & Essential Functions- Comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies.
- Patient care responsibilities: check schedules, organize patient flow, accompany patients to exam rooms, assist with mobility, collect specimens, record patient history, perform screenings, charting, and provide patient instructions.
- Clerical responsibilities: send and receive patient records, obtain lab/x‑ray reports, complete forms and requisitions, schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, and maintain accurate charts.
- Environmental responsibilities: set up instruments, clean exam rooms and equipment between patients, maintain sterilizer logs, order and restock supplies.
- Organizational responsibilities: promote patient rights, respond to emergency codes, and report operational or patient concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Graduate of a medical assisting program (Preferred)
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/A ‑OE) – required
- Minimum of one year experience in a public contact role, preferably a medical office
- Knowledge of healthcare field and patient communication
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
- Ability to identify equipment problems and notify supervisors
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities
- Clear communication and professional image
- Time‑management skills – plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks
- Compassionate and caring demeanor toward patients and staff
- Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices
- Capability to establish and maintain relationships with physicians, coworkers, patients, and families

Working conditions:
The role involves both office and exam room settings. There may be exposure to communicable diseases; appropriate body‑mechanics techniques are required for patient transfers. Applicants must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
