CPD Transport; PRN

Job Title

The purpose of this position is to perform as "runner" between CPD and requesting areas, delivering requisitions and returning items to the department. Assists in departmental housekeeping tasks and assists in drying carts and items from washer/sterilizer.

• Cleans and transports equipment, personal protective equipment, etc.
• Transports case carts (clean and dirty).
• Limited linen preparation.
• Assists with duties that do not include biological testing and sterilization.
• Other duties as assigned by Service Line Coordinator.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to be trained on the job
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

Requires full range of body motion including kneeling and twisting. Must be able to stand at least five (5) hours a day and walk for two (2) hours per day with intermittent sitting, lifting, bending, and climbing. The associate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Associate must be able to use hands to push and pull supplies and operate equipment.

This position requires reaching above the shoulder. This position requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. Also requires exposure to a hot and cold work environment. Requires some exposure to chemicals and gases.
