Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, the Human Resource Manager has the authority and responsibility to direct, coordinate and facilitate all aspects of Employee Relations. These responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Company Policies and Guidelines, Procedures and Systems, selection and recruiting of employees, Safety and Ergonomics, Benefit administration, Employee satisfaction, and fair employment. Continuous improvement activities, enforcing & maintaining IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
- Responsible for and has the authority to establish the duties and activities of positions that directly and/or indirectly report to him.
- Responsible to select, develop, motivate, train and evaluate personnel in the human resource functions.
- Responsible for the implementation and utilization of the selection process for Employees.
- Responsible for maintaining manpower requirements.
- Responsible for the orientation of new or transferred Team Members.
- Responsible for EEOC compliance, affirmative action, OSHA regulation compliance and the fair treatment of all employees.
- Responsible for the facilitation of the Safety Council.
- Responsible for Training and the control of training records.
- Responsible for investigation and follow-up on Employee concerns or complaints.
- Responsible for enforcing and maintaining Company policies and guidelines.
- Responsible for confidentiality, open and honest communications.
- Responsible for apprenticeship programs.
- Responsible for employee satisfaction and morale.
- EMS, manages all training and first aid/CPR and other items as assigned.
- Responsible to track and improve plant measurables included in the Midway Operating System (MOS).
- Has the authority to stop production operations with respect to safety or quality concerns.
- Treats all other Team Members with dignity and respect.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned.
Preferred qualifications include computer literacy at an intermediate level and a bachelor’s degree or better in Human Resources or a related field.
