Systems Administrator, IT Support, Network Administrator
The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including systems, servers, networks, and end-user devices. This role combines hands‑on technical support with advanced systems administration and network management, along with participation in IT projects and initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, and enterprise‑level IT support. This individual must be comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations.
This is an onsite position and requires a consistent presence at the company location to support systems, infrastructure, and end users.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for internal users and customers on both new and ongoing initiatives
- Provide daily technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for:
- Windows workstations and servers
- Printers, mobile devices, barcode scanners, and other peripherals
- Network hardware and infrastructure
- Perform advanced system administration and support company‑wide IT initiatives
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security within Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Act as a power user for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), document management platforms, Power Apps, and other enterprise software
- Implement and support network solutions while ensuring adherence to IT standards and security protocols
- Partner with business stakeholders in the development, implementation, and support of internal and third‑party systems
- Participate in audits, compliance activities, and risk assessments, including maintaining accurate system and network inventories
- Identify and recommend improvements to IT systems, processes, and efficiencies
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior IT team members
- Associate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 4–7 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network administration
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- PC and server hardware
- Networking equipment and infrastructure
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between company locations required)
- Strong expertise in systems administration and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, and enterprise IT environments
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
- Demonstrated leadership potential with a desire for professional growth
- Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move computer and network equipment
- Office‑based environment in an indoor setting with low to moderate noise levels
- Work performed in close proximity to others
- Travel between company locations as needed
- Occasional travel to vendors and IT partners
