** This posting is for a full-time, 12-month, exempt position. This position provides managerial and administrative support for the Office of Academic Affairs. In addition, manages projects and highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload. The position is responsible for collaborating with Human Resources and the University’s deans in order to manage and organize full-time and part-time faculty contract activity and workloads.
The Office Manager is also responsible for supervising the distribution of communications to faculty; managing the website for the Office of Academic Affairs, assisting with commencement and the Symposium for Scholarship & Creativity; and managing the daily operations of the Office of Academic Affairs.
Essential Functions This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment.
1.
Manage faculty recruiting, contracts, workloads, compensation, education, and related tasks in conjunction with deans and human resources personnel. 2.
Maintain academic credentials (degrees and majors). 3.
Manage and contribute to projects of the Office of Academic Affairs. 4.
Schedule appointments as needed for the Vice President for Academic Affairs. 5.
Assist with managing faculty recruiting, contracts, workloads, compensation, evaluation, and related tasks in conjunction with deans and human resources personnel. 6.
Supervise distribution of internal communication to faculty from the Office of Academic Affairs. 7.
Assist in the organization and facilitation of commencement, Symposium for Scholarship & Creativity, Faculty Awards ceremony, and other intermittent convocations and assemblies. 8.
Assist in managing content on Academic Affairs website. 9.
Answer phones and provide polite and efficient service to all stakeholders. 10.
Coordinate general daily office operations. 11.
Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.

Supervisory Responsibility This position supervises student assistants.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a 12-month, exempt 40 hours per week position. General hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required
Education and Experience 1.
High school diploma 2.
Minimum of three years of administrative experience. 3.
