Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Work and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with machine and downstream changeovers as needed.
• Restart equipment during normal production runs for non‑mechanical related issues.
• Maintain records for Quality, OEE and process improvements.
• Measure parts in accordance with the control plans and react accordingly to maintain a good quality product.
• Assist with troubleshooting of issues during startup and production runs.
• Work with Quality department, process technicians and maintenance and cross‑train.
• Promote safety and work safely throughout the facility following all Safety Policies.
• Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and required GMP gear.
• Be aware of all Emergency Exits and know procedures for Emergency Evacuation.
• Know the location of SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize them properly.
• Do not operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to complete the task safely.
• Always follow proper LOTO lock out/tag‑out procedures.
• Never remove or bypass machine guards and never while the machine is in operation.
• Be cautious and aware of lift trucks and moving equipment.
• Report all injuries or accidents to the Department Lead or Manager immediately.
• Understand and follow plant housekeeping guidelines.
• Identify and implement lean and continuous improvement actions.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Member of the HACCP team upon request.
• Evaluate and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
• Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning and sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Injection and Blow Molding.

• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.

This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
