Findlay is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. This is a critical role supporting metal stamping operations at an essential, well‑established manufacturer. • Build, assemble, maintain, repair, and modify metal stamping dies used in production manufacturing
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure stamping dies remain in proper working condition
• Troubleshoot die‑related issues to minimize downtime, scrap, and quality defects
• Diagnose tooling failures and make precision adjustments or repairs to restore dies to specification
• Work with stamping presses to ensure correct die fit, alignment, and performance
• Fabricate and repair die components using manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, and surface grinders
• Inspect tooling and components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges)
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve tooling concerns and improve die performance
• Maintain high safety and quality standards when working with tooling and stamping equipment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling efficiency, durability, and performance
