Findlay is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. This is a critical role supporting metal stamping operations at an essential, well‑established manufacturer. - Build, assemble, maintain, repair, and modify metal stamping dies used in production manufacturing
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure stamping dies remain in proper working condition
- Troubleshoot die‑related issues to minimize downtime, scrap, and quality defects
- Diagnose tooling failures and make precision adjustments or repairs to restore dies to specification
- Work with stamping presses to ensure correct die fit, alignment, and performance
- Fabricate and repair die components using manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, and surface grinders
- Inspect tooling and components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges)
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve tooling concerns and improve die performance
- Maintain high safety and quality standards when working with tooling and stamping equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling efficiency, durability, and performance
