The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting high-precision programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis vertical mills, CNC lathes and Horizontals. This role bridges the gap between engineering designs and the shop floor, ensuring parts are produced efficiently and according to strict quality standards.

• Mastercam Programming:
  
  Create and refine complex 2D and 3D toolpaths using
  
  Mastercamfor both milling and turning operations.
• Machine Setup & Operation:
  
  Set up and "prove out" new programs on the machine to ensure accuracy, minimize tool wear and machine efficiency.
• Process Optimization:
  
  Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve tool life through better programming strategies or tool selection.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
  
  Analyze technical drawings andGD&T(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine the best machining sequence.
• Tooling & Fixturing:
  
  Research and test work holding solutions as needed for day-to-day machining. Work with tooling suppliers to ensure best possible quality and tooling cost.
• Training:
  Once programming and tooling are established, train operators to execute programs with the proper feeds and speeds set up to maximize tool life and minimize cycle times.
• Follow Up:
  Respond to "HELP DESK" tickets as they come in.
• Effective communication in verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work on-site and within scheduled hours.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to move supplies/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience using Mastercam (2-5 years)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Work experience in Manufacturing (preferred)
