Position: Findlay YMCA - Youth Enrichment Coordinator

Job Location:

300 E LINCOLN ST - FINDLAY, OH 45840. Salary Range: $12.50 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Youth Enrichment Coordinator supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Youth Enrichment Coordinator develops and supervises youth programming at the Y including enrichment classes, STEAM programs, and Y on the Fly, Birthday Parties, and Adventure Guides. This position will be primarily spent in program delivery approximately 80% of the time and 20% in administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Administer and lead the total operation of the enrichment classes, STEAM programs, and Y on the Fly, and Adventure Guides.
  • Ability to work and supervise children, families and staff while providing leadership, teambuilding, that includes purposeful programming that develops the social-emotional skills, fosters achievements, supports academic growth and provides enrichment opportunities.
  • Oversee staff for Birthday Parties held on YMCA premises. Coordinate with consumers by providing information on availability, pricing, and amenities.
  • Educate our community and members about the services the YMCA offers and assist in their best possible experiences.
  • Support the strategic work of the YMCA by:
    Creating a culture of volunteerism by education members and our community about volunteer opportunities.
  • Supporting a culture of philanthropy by telling your Y story to others and encouraging them to participate in making a difference in YMCA fundraising efforts.
  • Encourage members and nurture the potential of all youth by promoting meaningful programs and services.
  • Follows all policies, procedures, and standards as established by the Y) e.g., safety or emergency procedures, behavior, behavior guidance strategies, child abuse prevention policies); makes ADA accommodations where appropriate; maintains the program site, equipment, and required program records.
  • Contribute to the staff effort of the Annual Campaign and special events.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Human Services, Recreation, Physical Education or General Degree Programs preferred
  • Must be enthusiastic, creative and have a desire to work with children and their families
  • Previous experience with diverse populations and children preferred
  • Acute planning and organizing skills preferred
  • Able to hire, train and supervise staff
