Team Lead – Quality / Inspection Job Details

Pay: $17.00/hour
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Weekends: Some weekends may be required

Job Summary

We are seeking a Team Lead to support daily operations, customer satisfaction, and quality assurance activities at a customer site in Findlay, Ohio. This position provides leadership and guidance to inspectors and site personnel, ensures compliance with company and customer requirements, and helps maintain a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who is quality-focused, dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and the ability to coach and motivate team members.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Business Development
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, inspectors, and site personnel.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and other site‑level stakeholders.
  • Promote a customer‑focused approach while ensuring quality and service expectations are met.
  • Address customer and operational concerns professionally and promptly.
Quality & Operations
  • Support site leadership with daily site operations.
  • Train, coach, and support quality inspectors to ensure procedures and work instructions are followed.
  • Conduct audits and validate compliance with established quality processes.
  • Communicate project updates, process changes, and revised work instructions to inspection teams.
  • Identify, document, and report non‑conformances to site leadership.
  • Make sound independent decisions when evaluating subjective quality scenarios based on project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process flow, new inspection criteria, production spikes, spills, and other operational challenges.
  • Assist with inventory and material movement using scanners and other inventory management tools.
  • Perform inspection duties when needed to support site operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Follow all company and customer‑specific policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Collect, maintain, and review operational reports and quality data.
  • Accurately document audits, inspections, non‑conformances, and other required activities.
  • Use company web portals and computer systems to enter and maintain required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records while protecting sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in quality, inspection, manufacturing, production, or a related field preferred
    .
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to use gauges, measuring devices, and other quality inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions within established guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Physical &

Work Environment Requirements

This position may require:

  • Standing and/or walking for extended periods.
  • Lifting and moving materials weighing approximately 30–50 pounds
    .
  • Repetitive physical activities, including lifting, twisting, grasping, gripping, reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Working around moving mechanical parts or machinery.
  • Exposure to loud noises, fumes, odors, and varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold.
  • Working in a repetitive inspection or production environment.
  • Working occasional weekends based on business and customer requirements.
