Lawn & Pet Store Specialist

Join our team as a Retail Sales Associate focused on lawn and pet products! In this role, you will play a vital part in driving the cooperative's success by maximizing market share, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Sales & Marketing: Set and achieve sales goals while contributing to marketing strategies. Promote and increase sales of store products, offering appropriate recommendations. Stay informed on product pricing and services to effectively maintain and grow market share.
• Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly and professional attitude. Cross‑sell products and services from other divisions of the cooperative.
• Store Operations: Stock inventory and ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well‑maintained. Occasionally handle customer deliveries as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Foster a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety protocols and policies.
• Teamwork & Initiative: Work both independently and collaboratively with team members to meet goals.

• High school graduate or equivalent with additional business background preferable.
• Familiarity with lawn, pet and other products to address customer inquiries effectively.
• Ability to handle customer calls, inquiries and orders in a timely and courteous manner.
• Have or ability to learn occasional forklift and tractor operations.
• This position requires a full range of body motion including bending, squatting and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and reach work above shoulders.

• Stay‑On Bonus: Must stay at least 6 months to be eligible for $1,000 bonus.
• Uphold cooperative’s policies and credit policy.
• Flexible days and hours with overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Applicants agree to be drug tested as a condition of employment and will not be hired should they fail to produce a negative test.
• Proficiency with computer.
• Maintain good driving record.
