Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Position Overview
Senior Software Engineer – Midstream & Refining IT Organization. Responsible for leading software development initiatives, championing best practices, and driving innovation through AI, automation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a continuous improvement mindset, AI usage, and automation of software engineering processes.
- Drive process excellence and innovative software engineering by empowering others, collaborating, taking appropriate risks, and making timely decisions within scope of responsibility.
- Mentor less experienced team members and accelerate software engineering maturity by modeling and encouraging ongoing learning and self‑development.
- Lead end‑to‑end efforts from design through completion for medium‑complexity features.
- Execute a defined software engineering roadmap, contributing to the organization's engineering and technology strategy.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process in projects with moderate to high complexity under limited or no supervision.
- Identify and recommend improvements to the software development lifecycle and best practices in agile engineering.
- Conduct demos of application features and design features to support automated testability.
- Conduct research, design, prototyping, and experience on a cross‑functional team.
- Work with users to translate designs and solution architecture into design specifications.
- Organize delivery of high‑quality, innovative solutions or deliverables, setting effort estimates and continuously collaborating and updating specifications, in line with user requirements.
- Coordinate and implement new architectures, standards, methods, and logic for enterprise software in accordance with business strategies and specifications.
- Partner with architecture organization to efficiently and effectively design, modernize, and implement applications.
- Ensure proper documentation of software design and work with business partners to design and implement solutions to meet architecture standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience as a full‑stack developer with Microsoft programming technology stack (C#, Blazor, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, IaC).
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies, software release management, and Dev Sec Ops principles and practices.
- Background and experience in Oil & Gas Commercial industry preferred.
- AZ‑204 Certification highly desired.
- Python proficiency is a plus.
- Experience with VGL (Visual Graphics Language) for the development and customization of automated Sample Manager LIMS workflows is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
