Essential Functions:
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Proactively assist customers by understanding their needs and guiding them in selecting and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and offer expertise on product features, benefits, and warranty information.
- Maintain communication with customers about delivery status and coordinate with truck drivers when necessary.
- Efficiently plan delivery operations and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
- Prepare delivery loads, ensuring products are securely packed and loaded for transportation.
- Inspect product conditions before loading to ensure quality delivery.
- Verify accuracy of delivery orders by matching items on invoices with loaded merchandise.
- Ensure all loads comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Update delivery and route status using mobile tracking systems to enhance efficiency.
- Manage safe unloading and installation of products, particularly appliances, at delivery locations.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles.
- Monitor for security risks and report any suspicious activities to management.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in work areas.
- Adhere to safety protocols and operate equipment as necessary depending on assigned duties.
- Valid Class A or B CDL License, with air brake endorsement preferred.
- Possession of a valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
- Pass MVR screening as per company standards.
- Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations.
- Basic literacy and arithmetic skills are required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience driving semi-trucks or certification from a driving institution.
- Background in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading and unloading.
