The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning food service, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities:
Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.;
San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
part-time Warehouse Tagger Operator I to be responsible for Warehouse Operations and production needs. Prepares all shipment tags as assigned. Maintains the assigned work area in a clean orderly manner and perform other duties as assigned at our Toma Tek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This is a union, part-time position (full-time during pack season, July – October, and when running production off season;
part-time the rest of the year).
- Provides continuous uninterrupted supply of properly prepared finished goods to be shipped.
- Notifies Warehouse and Production leads, supervisors or managers of any issues with the product.
- Ensures that all Safety Policies are followed, proper safety equipment is being worn, including but not limited to bump caps, gloves, coats, pants, safety glasses, face shield and hearing protection.
- Maintain a Daily Production Log Book.
- Relieves other operators for their breaks in a timely manner and assist others as needed.
Requirements
:
- At least one month of experience and/or training or equivalent in People Soft (navigate through multiple windows, run reports and analyze inventory tags) and Bolton (understand DPS Entry Detail, generate inventory tags, reprint tags and audit PID’s).
- Able to read, write, and speak English satisfactorily to perform essential duties.
- Requires good computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel – familiar with pivot tables, and Outlook), and ERP experience preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and able to liftup to 50 lbs. continuously.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
- Eligible for paid sick leave.
