Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of water resources and civil engineering projects while expanding technical expertise and contributing to the planning, design, permitting, and construction of critical infrastructure. There are strong opportunities for professional growth and advancement into project management.
The Successful Candidate(s) Will Have Opportunities To Work On a Variety Of Projects, Such As Dams And Reservoirs, Pump Stations, Master Drainage Studies, Floodplain Modeling, Permitting, Water Rights And Slurry Walls. CR Designs And Provides Construction Engineering For a Wide Range Of Projects Including
- Hydrology;
- Hydraulic structures;
- Floodplain analyses;
- Ditch company engineering;
- Groundwater modeling;
- Water rights analysis for change cases;
- Water quality components;
- Construction observation.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for a variety of civil engineering projects.
- Design and support projects involving dams, reservoirs, pump stations, and other hydraulic structures.
- Prepare master drainage studies and stormwater management plans.
- Conduct floodplain modeling and flood risk assessments.
- Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance for water resources projects.
- Perform groundwater modeling and water rights analyses.
- Provide engineering support for ditch and irrigation system projects.
- Evaluate water quality components and environmental considerations.
- Conduct construction observation and provide engineering support during project implementation.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, calculations, and design drawings.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum Engineer-in-Training (E.I./EIT) certification required.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in water resources or civil engineering preferred.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, including grading, pipe networks, and corridor modeling.
- Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and drainage design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow in an engineering consulting environment.
- Experience with floodplain analysis and hydraulic modeling.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of groundwater modeling and water rights analysis.
- Experience providing construction observation and field engineering support.
