Utility Locate Technician Firestone​/Erie, Colorado

ELM Utility Services, with a team of over 1700 employees nationwide, is offering a great opportunity for a Utility Locate Technician in the Firestone/Erie, Colorado area. ELM Technicians are essential in their communities, ensuring that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well‑maintained. They perform high‑quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation of these vital facilities. Our technicians use the advanced LaunchPoint software system, which incorporates the latest technology to create efficiencies.

Starting wages for this position will be $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Work independently outdoors with company‑provided vehicle as mobile office, completing daily route of locate requests.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
• Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• Work on‑call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.

• Pass pre‑employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check. This is a safety‑sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
