Description
A well-established local CPA firm is seeking a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their growing team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of small and mid-sized business clients while handling full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and client account management.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts in a fast-paced public accounting environment.
Responsibilities
+ Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple client accounts
+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
+ Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
+ Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
+ Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting
+ Prepare and file sales tax returns
+ Support month-end and year-end close activities
+ Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
+ Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting and bookkeeping matters
+ Assist CPAs with tax season preparation and audit support as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
+ 3+ years of full charge bookkeeping experience
+ CPA firm, public accounting, or multi-client bookkeeping experience preferred
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
+
Experience with Quick Books Online and/or Quick Books Desktop required
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
+ Excellent communication and client service skills
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

+ Sales tax filings
+ Month-end close
+ Multiple entity or multi-client bookkeeping
+
Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or Xero
