Associate Director of Accounts Receivable

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client on the NE side of Indianapolis (near Fishers) in search of an Associate Director of AR. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity working on a hybrid schedule.

• Lead and optimize the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong customer service.
• Oversee customer, pricing, and item master data governance, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
• Manage billing and invoicing processes to ensure timely and accurate revenue capture.
• Develop and execute credit and collections strategies to improve cash flow, reduce risk, and minimize past-due balances.
• Lead dispute resolution, account reconciliations, deductions, and write-off processes.
• Own key AR and O2C metrics, including DSO, aging, collections performance, invoice accuracy, and reserve analysis.
• Support month-end close activities, audits, financial reporting, and compliance initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to increase scalability and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless execution across the revenue cycle.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing O2C team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Order-to-Cash, Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, or Shared Services leadership.
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, cash application, customer master data, financial controls, and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, process transformation, automation, and internal control environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional relationships, and drive measurable business results.
