Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the financial operations of our client in Fishers, Indiana.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily administrative support ensuring each transaction progresses smoothly from order setup through final billing.

- Process supplier invoices with close attention to pricing, freight, and related charges so costs are recorded accurately and on time.

- Prepare customer invoices for applicable orders and confirm billing reflects all approved expenses associated with the transaction.

- Track outstanding orders and follow up on receipt, billing, and completion milestones to reduce delays and maintain workflow visibility.

- Research and resolve discrepancies involving cost, pricing, freight, and invoice details by partnering with internal teams and vendors.

- Collaborate across sales, purchasing, accounting, and operations to address transaction issues and support timely order execution.

- Maintain complete records and supporting documentation to satisfy audit, compliance, and financial review needs.

- Contribute to month-end activities, reporting, transaction audits, and data integrity reviews

- Document and refine operating procedures to strengthen consistency, efficiency, and financial accuracy within procurement-related processes.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable, procurement support, invoicing, order administration, or a related business function.

- Background in invoice processing, coding invoices, check runs, and reconciling transaction details is strongly preferred.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or a related discipline is preferred.

- Familiarity with ERP platforms, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable system.

- Solid working knowledge of purchasing workflows, transaction coordination, and financial support processes.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, analyze discrepancies, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
