Job Overview

Hoosier Heroes is seeking a versatile Construction Foreman & Project Lead to lead field crews, coordinate trades, and keep residential construction and remodeling projects running smoothly from start to finish. This hybrid role blends site supervision, hands‑on trade work, estimating, and builder punch responsibilities. You'll coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors while personally stepping in with drywall, painting, carpentry, or other finishing work as needed.

Builder work and builder punch tasks are a regular part of this role—attention to detail and quality is a must. Travel to Louisville is occasionally available and rewarded as a bonus opportunity. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on‑site crews to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to keep workflow efficient.
  • Prepare estimates for materials, labor, and project timelines.
  • Perform and oversee skilled hands‑on work including drywall, carpentry, and builder punch tasks.
  • Supervise builder work and ensure completion meets client and builder expectations.
  • Act as the on‑site point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Assist with job site tasks including painting, power washing, cleanup, and general setup.
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Track progress and report to management on milestones and potential issues.
Qualifications
  • 7-10+ years of experience in residential construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing builder work and executing detailed builder punch lists.
  • Skilled in at least one core trade (drywall, carpentry, painting) with the ability to lead by example.
  • Proven ability to lead crews and coordinate diverse trades on active job sites.
  • Strong estimating and project planning background.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team leadership skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and dedication to quality work.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a complete set of tools.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to Louisville, KY is a plus and compensated accordingly.
  • Experience with light electrical and light plumbing.

Schedule
  • Full‑Time:
    Monday‑Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
  • Overtime may be available depending on workload
