Sylvan Learning Center Fishers Reading Tutors Wanted for Fun After-School Tutoring! Sylvan Learning is looking for fun, dedicated teachers to help and inspire students. We are currently looking for tutors who are able to teach reading at a K-8 level, with a preferred focus on K-2 phonics development.
Sylvan creates individualized learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with three to four students each session, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all of the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides! Responsibilities- Lead instruction for groups of three to four students per session.
- Motivate students to be successful and build academic confidence.
- Follow pre-planned lessons that are straightforward and easy to manage.
- Teach in a small-group setting with no more than four students per teacher.
- Schedule is flexible; most teachers work 2-5 days per week and instruction is available weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
- This is NOT a remote position.
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Teaching Credential required. - Enjoy teaching, working with students, and inspiring them.
- Punctual and reliable with transportation; you must be local.
