• Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
• Completed requirements for the CDA Certification with at least one year experience in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of children ages 1-6 and an understanding of their needs and development.
• Knowledge of early learning curriculum, specifically age-appropriate crafts, music, literature, and group activities.
• Experience supervising children, staff, and handling conflict situations with parents and staff.
• Capable of establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family and YMCA staff.
