YD Before and After School – Program Director YMCA of Greater Indianapolis – Fishers Salary: $43,888.00 – $53,332.00 annually
The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated and relationship‑driven Before & After School Program Director to lead and manage school‑age programs in Fishers. This role oversees daily operations, staff supervision, family engagement, and program quality for before‑and after‑school care, ensuring alignment with YMCA standards and community needs.

What You’ll Lead- Budget Management — Develop, administer, and control designated program budgets to ensure responsible financial stewardship.
- Staff Supervision — Select, train, supervise, and support paid and volunteer staff to maintain high-quality program delivery.
- Program Coordination — Direct and organize daily program activities that align with Center and Association goals.
- Program Evaluation — Evaluate program effectiveness, recommend improvements, and develop new initiatives to meet evolving needs.
- Community Partnerships — Engage with community groups to identify needs and strengthen program impact.
- Communication & Representation — Interpret and communicate Association goals, objectives, and policies to families, schools, and community partners.
- Center Collaboration — Share responsibility for Center supervision, public relations, planning, and promotional activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support YMCA mission and operations.
- Degree in child development
, early childhood education
, recreation
, elementary education
, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) - 2–3 years of professional experience working specifically with school‑age youth
- Background in school‑age programming and family engagement
- Demonstrated leadership
, supervision
, and organizational skills - Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities
- Ability to complete all YMCA training requirements within established timelines
