The Cognitive Trainer is a part-time, on-site role based in Fishers, IN, responsible for delivering individualized brain training sessions to clients using Learning Rx's structured programs and protocols. In this position, the trainer works one-on-one with children, teens, and adults, guiding them through targeted cognitive exercises, tracking progress, and providing constructive feedback and encouragement. The role involves reviewing training plans, preparing materials for sessions, documenting client performance data, and communicating observations to center leadership and, when appropriate, caregivers.
The Cognitive Trainer collaborates with the local team to maintain a supportive, engaging environment, adheres to program standards, and participates in ongoing training to ensure high-quality client outcomes.
- Ability to follow structured training protocols, adapt activities to individual client needs, and accurately track and record performance data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate clients, build rapport with diverse age groups, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and caregivers.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with clients, including those with learning differences or cognitive challenges.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple sessions, maintain documentation, and meet scheduling requirements in a center environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, interactive setting that requires sustained attention, energy, and engagement during one-on-one training sessions.
- Prior experience in education, tutoring, psychology, coaching, or related fields is beneficial.
- High school diploma required; some college coursework or a degree in education, psychology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Fishers, IN during afternoon, evening, and/or weekend hours as needed by the center.
