Intermediate Avionics Technician

Tom Wood Aviation, in Indianapolis, IN, is searching for an Intermediate Avionics Technician to become a reliable member of our team at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport. The ideal candidate has a keen attention to detail, high-quality workmanship, and ensures that all work complies with federal aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

$28.00-$32.00 hourly

• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair more complex avionics issues.
• Install, calibrate, and configure advanced avionics equipment, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Perform software updates and system modifications as required.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and aircraft maintenance programs.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Level 1 technicians, promoting skill development.

• 2-5 years of experience in aircraft avionics maintenance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex avionics systems independently.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
