Network Engineer

Overview

R10 Networks is seeking a Network Engineer where innovation and teamwork come together to support the most exciting missions in the world.

• Upgrade firewalls for security improvements and coordinate downtime with business units.
• Implement a new NSX firewall and onboard infrastructure.
• Migrate applications to the cloud, ensuring network security with application teams.
• Migrate existing infrastructure from on prem to GCP Cloud Infrastructure.
• Configure IPv6 tunnels and set up firewalls in new environments.
• Migrate existing Cisco, Aruba switches to Edgecore Sonic OS and Cisco routers to VMware Velocloud SD-WAN.
• Collaborate with business units to build lab environments based on requirements.
• Design and implement WLANs based on high-level designs and plan of record.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network traffic using Wireshark and access logs.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, technical standards, and assist with data center management.
• Troubleshoot network tickets based on LAN/Wi-Fi connections, VPN connections, and WSS issues.
• Provide support in patching, system upgrades, and architecture changes.
• Will work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

• Requires Masters in Electrical Engineering or related field and 1 year experience.
