Pay Range
$90,000 – $100,000 / year + Benefits
Position SummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the automotive industry to support product design and development activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with 3D CAD modeling, fixture design, and chassis‑related components.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop automotive mechanical components and assemblies.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD software.
- Design, modify, and validate manufacturing and assembly fixtures.
- Support chassis product design, development, and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project engineering.
- Participate in design reviews and implement engineering changes as required.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within the automotive industry.
- Strong hands‑on proficiency with Solid Works (mandatory).
- Experience in chassis component design and fixture design.
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of CATIA and/or Siemens NX (UG).
- Experience with automotive product development processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly environments.
