Opportunity to work as a Controls Engineering Specialist I at Trane Technologies, focusing on hardware and software design for building automation systems.
Work ScheduleMonday to Thursday onsite with colleagues. Fridays: choose remote or hybrid location based on work requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design commercial comfort control and automation systems under supervision.
- Obtain and review contract documents, proposals, mechanical plans, specifications, estimates, equipment submittals for integration into automation system design.
- Create installation drawings, submittal drawings, sequences of operations for efficient project installation.
- Conduct on-site project surveys as needed to determine controls solutions.
- Transition design documents to field implementation.
- Follow up by creating as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and facilitate transition to the service department.
- Follow engineering standards and guidance from mentors/managers.
- Previous HVAC industry knowledge (technician, project management, estimating) or equivalent education and work experience or aptitude for construction and design.
- Windows operating system and Microsoft Office product knowledge.
- Familiarity with HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- Experience with CAD program and basic understanding of electrical drawings and schematics preferred.li>
- Ability to work as part of a team, in a structured environment, and maintain organized records.
- Some travel to construction sites within the district to determine controls solutions.
Base Salary Range: $72,928.33 - $ (Hourly: Exception Hourly).
No incentive or sales commission eligibility.
