FORUM Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Home Equity Specialist to support our Mortgage Operations team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering an exceptional member experience by managing the processing, closing, and funding of Home Equity loans and lines.
The Home Equity Specialist is responsible for maintaining knowledge of all second mortgage products while ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely loan processing from application through funding. You’ll work closely with members and internal teams to keep loans moving efficiently and provide clear, professional communication throughout the process.
This position is onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Fishers, Indiana.
What you'll do:
- Utilize daily pipeline reports to effectively manage workflow and meet turnaround expectations
- Order appraisals, title work, verifications, and other required documentation
- Verify and update application details, including income, employment, and supporting information
- Communicate professionally and proactively with members and Mortgage Consultants regarding loan status
- Prepare closing documentation and coordinate loan closings and disbursement of funds
- Partner closely with Loan Officers, Underwriters, Operations Team members, and members to ensure a seamless loan experience
- Respond promptly to inquiries from members, managers, and teammates
- Review files for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

- High school diploma or GED required
- One to three years of similar or related experience (consumer or mortgage lending experience preferred)
