Role OverviewThe Senior Director, FP&A & Business Planning is a strategic finance leader responsible for enterprise budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning for the Telix enterprise and financial support and performance management for one of the company’s business units. The role partners closely with the Group and Business Unit CFOs and senior leadership to translate financial and market data into actionable insights, drive resource allocation and capital decisions, and ensure high‑quality, timely reporting to support growth and profitability.
KeyAccountabilities
- Enterprise Financial Strategy, Planning & Leadership: Lead the development and governance of the annual operating plan and long‑range plan, align financial targets with strategic objectives, provide strategic financial guidance to the Group and Business Unit CFOs, and establish planning calendars, timelines, and standards for accountability.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Market Guidance: Direct monthly/quarterly reforecasting, synthesize drivers and variances with clear executive‑ready narratives, integrate market analysis into forecasts and scenario plans, and partner with Commercial, Operations, R&D, and G&A leaders to align assumptions.
- Capital Structure, Investment Analysis & M&A: Oversee investment business cases and ROI analysis, lead complex financial and operating models, provide financial leadership on M&A, partnerships, and integrations, and coordinate with Corporate Development, Accounting, Tax, and Legal.
- Financial Reporting & Performance Management: Own the business unit management reporting suite, ensure alignment with accounting standards and internal controls, and prepare materials for executive leadership and the Board.
- Business Performance & KPIs: Define and evolve enterprise and business‑unit KPIs, deliver insights to improve revenue quality, margin expansion, cost discipline, working capital, and cash conversion, and support operational excellence initiatives.
- Systems, Data & Process Optimization: Champion continuous improvement across planning systems and data architecture, drive automation, standardization, and self‑service analytics, and ensure data integrity and single‑source‑of‑truth.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership: Build, lead, and develop a diverse FP&A and Business Planning team; act as the primary finance partner to senior leaders across functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
- 10‑15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, including leadership of teams and enterprise planning processes.
- Prior experience with a Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences company is a plus.
- Expert‑level proficiency in financial modeling and advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong experience with financial planning software (e.g., Workiva, One Stream) and large‑scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Net Suite).
- Deep understanding of IFRS and financial statements; ability to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes.
- Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical/Med Tech experience preferred; experience in a publicly listed environment (e.g., ASX/NASDAQ) is a plus.
