Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician at BACA, you will:

  • Support children with autism through play-based ABA to develop targeted skills.
  • Work with families to help them reach their goals.
  • Maintain a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic demeanor.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma/GED (minimum).
  • Transportation:
    Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.
  • Schedule:

    Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings; M-F 11:45 a.m.–4:45 p.m. or similar shifts.
  • Experience:

    Earn starting pay at $17/hr and up with experience; become eligible to earn RBT certification.
  • Age/Work Authorization:
    Minimum age 18; eligible to work in the United States.
  • Other:
    Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred/Plus Factors
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
  • Background in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or related fields.
  • Experience with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or other childcare positions.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, counseling, mental health, or related fields.
  • Desire to create lasting, positive change for children and families.
Work Details & Benefits
  • Responsibilities include working with kids aged 2–7 or 7–22 with autism and special needs in one of our centers.
  • Full-time benefits: up to 15 days of paid time off (PTO) after 90 days of employment.
  • Part-time benefits: eligible for sick leave.
  • Professional development: potential promotion in as little as three months and opportunities to grow professionally.

Physical requirements vary by client assignment and may include push/pull/lift up to 35 pounds, moving quickly as needed. You may be asked to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as part of the role.
