Position: Athletic Trainer Certified School -SMO (Pipeline)

Job Overview

Community Health Network is preparing for future growth at our Sports Medicine Outreach School based locations and seeks athletic trainers for middle and high school settings.

Responsibilities
  • Prevent, assess, and treat emergency, acute, and chronic injuries.
  • Recondition athletes and active individuals after injury to prevent injury recurrence, impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities.
  • Position located in middle or high school settings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in athletic training.
  • Current or temporary Indiana license, or pending license obtained within 45 days of start date.
  • Current Board of Certification (BOC), Inc. Athletic Training certification.
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, current treatment techniques and functional progressions, and current advancements and trends.
  • Ability to effectively provide quality care and service to patients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and customers.
  • Ability to incorporate understanding of the behavioral, developmental, physical, emotional needs of child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to lift/transfer patients or treatment supplies without restriction.
  • Must have upper extremity strength and manual dexterity for writing, treatment modalities, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to organize responsibilities and set priorities.
  • Ability to function independently and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and compassionately in both verbal and written forms.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing work conditions.
