Location:
Fishers Event Center — immediate opening for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. This role supports the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating the entire food and beverage operation at the facility.
- Direct and coordinate concession operations at the Fishers Event Center, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
- Market Food and Beverage services to clients and facilitate Food and Beverage control.
- Oversee Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction.
- Schedule event staff based on event operations and needs.
- Support client food & beverage and operational needs for events.
- Make recommendations for menu/theme development for events.
- Assist in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assign duties to subordinates.
- Support Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards.
- Inspect food service facilities to ensure equipment and facilities meet state/local health laws and internal regulations.
- Assist with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.
- Facilitate payroll processing for internal staff and nonprofit payouts.
- Maintain inventory control.
- Work within guidelines for food and labor costs.
- Analyze facility operation data (patron attendance, labor costs) to prepare budgets and maintain cost control.
- Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
- Be aware of current alcohol handling rules and regulations.

- Work with limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff including management.
- Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
- Serv Safe certified.
- Valid Indiana Liquor Permit.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a management-level position in Food & Beverage or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software and payroll processing software.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
- Assess client requirements and deliver ensuring client satisfaction.
