Location:

Fishers Event Center — immediate opening for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. This role supports the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating the entire food and beverage operation at the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate concession operations at the Fishers Event Center, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
  • Market Food and Beverage services to clients and facilitate Food and Beverage control.
  • Oversee Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Schedule event staff based on event operations and needs.
  • Support client food & beverage and operational needs for events.
  • Make recommendations for menu/theme development for events.
  • Assist in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assign duties to subordinates.
  • Support Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards.
  • Inspect food service facilities to ensure equipment and facilities meet state/local health laws and internal regulations.
  • Assist with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.
  • Facilitate payroll processing for internal staff and nonprofit payouts.
  • Maintain inventory control.
  • Work within guidelines for food and labor costs.
  • Analyze facility operation data (patron attendance, labor costs) to prepare budgets and maintain cost control.
  • Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Be aware of current alcohol handling rules and regulations.
Qualifications

  • Work with limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
  • Serv Safe certified.
  • Valid Indiana Liquor Permit.
Education And/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a management-level position in Food & Beverage or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and payroll processing software.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Assess client requirements and deliver ensuring client satisfaction.
