Position: Building Maintenance

Qualifications: Basic understanding of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance. Ability to learn from on-the-job training.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods of time, and work without close supervision. Must be able to climb a 12‑ft ladder. Must be available to work overtime and flex schedule if needed.

Job Goals: Maintenance of all corporation buildings and grounds to provide a safe, clean, and habitable environment.

Reports to:

Maintenance Team Leaders

• Doors and hardware
• Ceiling tile systems
• Painting
• Wall and flooring repairs
• Electrical: bulbs, ballast, switches, outlets, minor electrical repairs
• Plumbing: faucet, toilets, shower valves, roto‑rooter
• Preventive maintenance on any assigned equipment
• Maintenance equipment: lifts, tractors, mowers, forklifts, and dock lifts
• Snow removal, including brooming all facility sidewalks and spreading ice melt on front walks and bus loading zones
• Assist with transporting items between corporation buildings
• Display proper conduct in the presence of students and faculty
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Team Leaders

• Demonstrate respect for super‑ordinates, subordinates and peers
• Support corporation decisions and direction relative to matters of policy and administrative directives. Work as a team player
• Demonstrate ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner
• Address concerns and offer suggestions in an appropriate and confidential manner
