- Collect, label, and prepare samples of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for testing and analysis.
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with internal specifications and regulatory standards.
- Support Research & Development (R&D) with experimental testing, data collection, and method development.
- Utilize chemical techniques such as distillation, chromatography, and other extraction methods in the production and testing of cannabis oils and related products.
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory and production equipment in accordance with established maintenance schedules.
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist in corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct quality control (QC) checks to verify that products meet company, safety, and regulatory standards, in alignment with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Document and investigate deviations, nonconformities, and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of testing, results, and anomalies to ensure data integrity and full traceability.
- Handle chemicals, reagents, and biological materials safely and manage waste disposal in accordance with safety and environmental protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile lab and production environment through regular cleaning and sanitization.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, share findings, and implement continuous improvements.
- Contribute to the optimization of lab operations and the development of new products and processes.
